Ricochet Uno
All Quarter horse bred. He could be doubled registered  He is sired by El Gato uno x One Gun x Mr. Gun
Smoke on the dams side he is out of Colonels Wild Rose x Kings Only Colonel x Colonel Freckles the dam
side of his mare has Elegant Doc as well as Johny Tivio. He is very well bred for reining. Ricky is approx. 16
hands, he is a big boy, but can do all the manuvuers required for a reining pattern. I have been trail riding
Ricky since he was a three year old, mostly in the Marble Mountains of Siskiyou Co.,  which is no walk in the
park. He has been on steep trails, rock stair steps, over bridges and thr
ough water.  Camped every year, he
highlines a good water drinker anywhere, and has been trailered ALL OVER THE PLACE. This horse has
been trailered from Oregon to Chico and up logging roads you wouldn't believe. He is very healthy, no history
of colic, or any illness.  He has a couple of blemishes on his hind leg from where he got his leg caught in a
stall mat (he was a goofy 2 yr. old) and he nicked himself on his hind leg one winter and it left a scar when it
healed, but he has never injured any muscels or tendons. He is very well boned and has excellent feet.  Ricky
is not a spooky horse, he is a little on the lazy side, he would make an excellent youth reiner, or a horse for a
man because of his size.  Bathes, clips and is great for the farrier.  He is a comical horse with personality, his
lack of fear sometimes gets him into things, for example is the bale of hay to where he can get to it?, will he try
to stick his head in there? Can he possibly undo the latch on the fence? He never hurts himself, he just
figures his way out of what he gets into.  Ricky was profesionally trained by Shane Koch who is now in Texas
as a cutting trainer, and Step Hansen in Redding who trained western pleasure and reiners. Taken him more
recently to Robbie Bianchi  in Medford, Oregon for tuning up. Gladly supply the numbers for Steph and
Robbie for references.  Ricky is current on all vaccines and has his teeth floated yearly.  He won with his
owner a buckle in the Calif. State Horsemans Association Reining series in Novice Horse Non-Pro, placed in
the Oregon Reining Association, won the Siskiyou Co. fair twice and won numerous times in the local shows
in Siskiyou Co. Also won in Greenhorse Trail.   He is a solid reiner that will consistently place as a non-pro,
novice, or youth classes.
